QHSE & IT Manager
Andy is the QHSE & IT Manager responsible for the management of the office administration functions of Quality Management, IT Management, Purchasing and Supply, Occupational Safety and Health Management, Environmental Management and Facilities Management.
Andy is one of the company’s longest serving employees having joined the company back in 1983, experiencing a number of varied roles and responsibilities along the way. Andy started his employment on a part-time basis as an office junior in the electronics test department before establishing a full time role within electronic stores control and eventually the Company Buyer. In 1994 Andy accepted the additional role of Quality Manager with a clear remit for establishing an organisational Quality Management System and to achieve ISO 9001 certification for the company, which was achieved the following year in September 1995, a certification that is still held and maintained.
Andy also has the additional functional responsibility of IT Manager for strategic, commercial and departmental management and operational responsibility for the organisations OSHMS and Environmental Management activities. Andy is also the Facilities manager, so looks after the work environment for all Yokogawa Marex employees.
Andy is a keen small boat enthusiast being the proud owner of three small boats and boat maintenance, having completed a total rebuild of a 4m dinghy utilising wood working skills learned from his father.
