Software Developer Degree Apprentice

Yokogawa Marex has an exciting new opportunity from September 2025 for a Software Developer Degree Apprentice. You will work within the Software Development team on new and existing projects in the design and implementation of software products and solutions, whilst obtaining a BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology Solutions Professional (Software Engineer) Degree.

The role will provide you with hands on experience aligned to support your university studies. The working week is Monday to Friday, including one day a week at Solent University in Southampton.

The successful candidate will:

• Have five GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C or above) including English Language and Maths
• Have three A-levels or equivalent, ideally in STEM subjects (Maths, Computer Science) or BTEC, HNC Computer Sciences, or a previous Level 3 IT/Computer Apprenticeship
• Work at our offices in Cowes, Isle of Wight
• Be willing to travel (ferry tickets funded by the company) once a week to Solent University Southampton for day release starting in September 2025
• Be paid an annual salary in line with those for an apprenticeship, funded travel during apprenticeship, and additional benefits

Project Manager

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the project management of software development and deployment projects, delivering solutions to our global customers in the process industry. We are looking for an experienced project manager, team leader or someone who is looking to take that next step in their career into project management (for example an assistant project manager, or software developer with experience of leading a team).

You will build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the global Yokogawa organisation and support the Yokogawa Marex Management Team to achieve company goals and objectives.

Experienced Software Developer

Yokogawa Marex has an exciting opportunity for an experienced software developer with a strong track record of software development in C++. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, as an experienced software developer in our software development team you will have a Bachelor level degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar, with 5+ years of work experience in a software development environment as a software developer in C++. You will be developing Microsoft Windows based information systems and applications and be responsible for the design and implementation of complex software components with adherence to quality processes that lead to the delivery of high-quality software applications and solutions that satisfy customer requirements.
